There is so much to say, so much people don’t know or are not aware of when it comes to what is generally going on in the Music and Entertainment Business. And depending on which place, which geographical location we are talking about, it differs….extremely.
You have Charts manipulated, worldwide, on a regular basis now. Even before the digital age, there were tricks people used and I heard a lot from Music Insiders from the Business, and this is all first hand information. I did not research or read it up in some book or other information sources or online, because these things you simply cannot know and understand, if not yourself in the Business and witnessing details yourself.
This is how you get the big picture. And I, naturally and with a very precise logical, had to make all these experiences, especially negative ones with Music Managers and Record Labels and Studios, because I am Michael Jackson’s Twin Soul and it naturally “pushed me in the same directions in life”. This is how I was already very knowledgeable about Music Copyrights and Contracts, since my Youth and long before I met Michael personally.
Then, as you can imagine, he taught me so much, also shocking things he shared about the Music Business and Hollywood and how far they manipulate and go behind the public’s knowledge, that I needed a long time to digest it all. Especially, because he then also passed and it hit me very hard, I almost didn’t survive it.
I am on a mission here, and nothing can stop me, because nothing can stop Michael and his love gives me the strength and energy to keep going in this difficult situation.
Truth and insider information is very important here to understand the big picture, for the public and the Fans. Its important the general masses become aware of all these things, surrounding their daily lives, but going unnoticed in its effects such as mainstream Music and Movies and Books.

As you can imagine, this article will be a lit longer or more complex than I usually write on this blog. But as we are in our special, very karmic Thriller-Halloween Series and spiritual Focus, we want to dive deeper into these topics now and Michael is very serious about it.
HOW CHARTS AND RANKINGS ARE MADE
See, when I was a child, speaking now from my previous personal perspective on things, I really believed that what we see on TV, the Charts, the so-called “best and most successful folks” featured all over Magazines and TV and such, are there because of their own hard work, all.
I thought, everyone is like Michael, honest and real. I was a child.
I was wondering a bit though, but mainly not noticing that the Charts and Rankings regarding Music are filled with almost and only Americans and English folks. It was not varying much.
From time to time to had some global big Hit, which was Spanish, or other Languages people didn’t even understand, but liked the sound of it.
What I heard is, that Charts and Rankings are simply controlled by the Music Industry, and the “head of the global network” is in the United States. There, oh surprise, how “natural”, you find all Major Record/Music Labels focused in one place.
You have then other big branches in several continents and countries, but own, local MAJOR Record Labels do not exist except for in the U.S. or England. The big Labels in Germany, one of the biggest Music Markets if not still the second largest in the World, are mainly also branches of Sony, Universal or Warner.
It goes like that.
Many Indie Labels are contractually bound to Major Labels as well, in order to even get work and be able to work, and sharing the Publishing with the Majors, meaning, the Majors controlling also therefore lots of Indie Label’s Publishing Rights.
So, they cash off, everywhere, only those few.
A totally independent Label, which can FREELY evolve and work, globally, does not exist. It is my Vision, but we are obviously not there yet, and these folks that control the Music Business, globally, are capable of going very far to uphold their reign, fake or real, they don’t care.
Its not just about money, if you think that, you are naive and let them via tabloids and generally public information they “allow to be public without trying to take down and interfere”, is only wishy washy half truths and does not bring you to the full, big picture.
Power matters even more to those people, and they are not independent. There, the terms fit:
Major Labels are controlled by higher sources, reaching into Politics and things like that as well.
Indie Labels are free, but have no global network as in Radio Stations linked, Organisations which make the Charts in each country, and TV connections globally to keep airing the same crap Song over and over and “force it into people’s memory”; Indie Labels do not have the money for that as well.
So, as far as Indie Labels remain independent for real, they are cut off this whole “Music Business System” and there is almost no way to evolve freely as a Label and Company.
This is, I guess, why many cooperate with the Major Labels and sign off parts of their own Company activities to them such as the Music Publishing Business. Like this, they profit back from all the major connections and can spread their Releases further and easier.
But they lose their freedom and real independence in making Music and Art. Because if a Major Label or the Majors do not like the type of Messages, politically, or all this race questions stuff too, and unique concepts and NEW IDEAS they did not have, they discriminate with their whole system against you and your “little Independent Music”.
They don’t care if they cannot sign you, and you go your own way. They come and take ideas from Indie Labels, and sell them off under their own Major Labels to cut you off financially as well from even making money from your Indie Label Projects.
HOW RADIO AIRPLAY LISTS ARE MADE
Almost every Major Radio Channel, in every important Country, and even small Countries/Music Markets, are bribed regularly by Majors to ONLY play over and over their few Releases, and censor the Indie Music out there. This is also how certain really good Indie Productions do not even get NOTICED most of the time, while at times very repetitive and lame “Mass Pop Productions” are placed in the Radio Playlists, literally being aired multiple times per Day.
The Music buyer ends up only seeing a little variety of current Releases, and like this they can also copy ideas from much less known Indie Labels and Artists and sell it off as their own and place it blatantly with these methods right in your face, daily.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE ANALOG AND THE DIGITAL AGE OF MUSIC ©
Back in the Day, when Music was not digitally produced and distributed yet, meaning via download and streaming as nowadays mainly, you could HOLD a record in your hand and it was much more difficult, for the Industry, to “fake sales numbers and charts”.
Sometimes, little scandals would surface, like from a German Singer and Actress I remember, where her Manager bought up many Singles of her Song to “artificially push and manipulate it into the Top 10” or so, and then it all came out.
So he spent I don’t know how many thousands, to “buy her into the charts”, so the Music Fans and Teenagers out there would be “fooled into thinking she is popular” and then they rely on the audience picking it up, like programmed dolls, and just going with it and then really making them successful in further releases and buying their stuff, thinking “oh many others buy it too it seems successful”.
It’s a fine psychological manipulation, done often for Newcomers or New Releases, if someone from the Mainstream Music Industry is “flopping”.
So, back in the Day, such methods were already used, and nowadays, imagine what is possible if you cannot hold and count physical records/CDs from stores, and they can just “fill in view counts, follower numbers visible on profiles, online playlist and streaming lists” numbers as they like, to “fake success” where in reality they got red numbers and flops.
The Music Industry is fighting since a while now, since the whole Napster and free Downloading began more than 10 years ago, they were fighting for survival and making a lot less money than before the digital Music age.
In that timing, the Indie Labels became MORE successful than Majors, because compared also, even if small and independent, they had less Artists, more freedom to be creative and therefore create successful Bands and Artists, and more FOCUS for each Artist.
The Majors SPENT more money, had way more Artists loosing overview, and therefore needed to make more income from Releases in order to first of all cover their huge costs and then make profit.
The Indie Labels spent less, and made more income compared to what they spent.
This is how the situation was evolving.
So, what did the Major Labels do, to keep their Monopoly?
I want you to reflect on this before you continue reading. Think about it.

What they did was to STEAL FROM THE CREATIVITY of the independent little Music Labels and Artists, while at the same time with multiple methods and tricks which are unlawful to borderline unlawful censoring the competition.
They would even sign Bands and competing, talented Artists, especially Minorities Michael told me, and then put them “aside and block them for years like this”, because they would be contractually bound, not able to go to another Label, and not being taken care of well and much money put into PR and Productions.
Stuck, and contractually bound, and that was an on purpose method to “block competing talents”, to free the way artificially, to “push” certain chosen folks on a global scale and majorly.
It is not natural evolution nor selection, it is all manipulated and controlled by the Majors in the Music Industry, and that, makes the Charts, the Online Votings and Rankings, Follower Numbers, Likes, Video View counts, all subject of questions regarding authenticity and realness.
Same goes for the whole News Articles nowadays.
They fabricate their own words, and then print them copy paste style all over the tabloids, the same things. We all know not all reporters and journalists worldwide, in every different culture, and individual different people, don’t come up with the same certain wordings for new releases of current fake Pop folks put out by the Major Labels.
They think you are all fools and that they can tell you what to think, and “manipulate you into liking certain new releases”.
This is the heart, the core of what Michael Jackson was fighting against in the Music Industry, and details behind the stuff he is saying in his Anti- Racism in the Music Industry speech.
All this information I have first hand from own conversation with Music Managers and Label Producers, Managers and Publishers, and from Michael Jackson personally.
This is all also why to me personally, money and fame never mattered. I love my Music, my Art, its my most honest from the soul expression and part of my being and evolution as a person. I never seen this fake, superficial stuff in such sacred soul arts like these Majors do: Music and Art is NOT about fame or money and NEVER SHOULD BE!
For me, Music has always been a matter of the SOUL and deepest INNER EMOTIONS AND THOUGHTS, and expressing it in creative ways reaching people deeply with the Expression, through voice, dance and movement and visuals and symbolism.

Now, I want to show you a few points that are Artist related, so you know how much Michael actually did and owned, when it comes to his general Brand he built. He was not just some simple “singer”.
If you sign a contract with a music publisher, where you are a songwriter, but will not present, sing and perform the song yourself, or songs, then you earn already more than the artists on the stage that sing the written songs then and put their face in public.
Then, also, if you produce the Songs, like as in recording and making the arrangements of the instruments and finalising the end product, producing it therefore, in the Studio, you also earn more than the Performing Artist on the Song/Songs and control also the Music itself and the Production rights as a Producer.
Most of the time, let’s simplify it a lot now, the signed Bands and Artists get like overall 25 % to 35 % of the general income their releases and work bring in, and the rest goes to the Major Record Labels.
Lets take an educational look at the standards in Publishing Agreements here, so you start understanding more of the big picture:
As you can see in the above sections and insights from a Standard Template for Publisher Agreements from our Collecting Society (SUISA), the Songwriter/Artist signs the works off to the Publisher, to “manage” the Copyrights, enter new Songs for registration and archive them dated, sell written Songs to Performers and as explained, many other rights such as reproducing it for a Soundtrack for a Visual Production (Video, TV Show, Movie etc.).
Specific regarding Michael Jackson and the Beatles Catalogue *ATV Catalogue*
In Michael Jackson’s case, he owned all these different rights to the Beatles Songs, so he could approve it for Commercial use (used in visual productions, sampled, re-arranged) and this was a very big power over these famous works, including financially.
Every time a Song is then played via Radio, streamed online, aired to a Commercial on TV, or used in Movies or so, one has to licence that actually, but every time money goes to the Copyright holder/Creator.
This complex process is managed by the Music Publisher, as it is mostly office type work and most Artist want nothing to do with this all. It would be also very time-consuming to take care of everything by yourself, so a Publisher is usually not some person, but a whole team having to manage this complex, worldwide process and details to also make sure, that the income is generated properly and fees transferred, the work promoted and made known and circulated and so forth.
Michael Jackson though, just like me, love this stuff and we talked a lot about it and my Label Vision, and his previous Label Visions.
Michael was the type of Artist that was also a genius, unique Business Man and he used his analytical mind skills to learn, observe and handle this side of the Music Business as well and strived to become a big Music Publisher as well, and he did.
Unfortunately, right there, when he proved his Business skills as a Publisher by buying the Beatles /ATV Catalogue (including more than only Beatles Song Rights!) – they interfered heavily trying to block his “further rise as a powerful Music Publisher”.
Michael, as I explained in the previous Article on this subject, also tried to get his hands on the Elvis Presley Music Catalogue – imagine that and the power one has, as a Music Publisher controlling such famous works.
70 years after the authors death or authors deaths the works become basically “public records” like old Art from hundreds of years ago, which anyone can basically use today. So, know how much a Music Publisher has power over the Artist’s works.
But, there are loops holes and things a Publisher in control can do, which can mess a lot with the profit the family and children receive of a deceased author.
Let’s say, if you assign many rights to many projects, long term, lasting so many years, the children of the original Author/Composer do not see much of it until they are old themselves. Like a “blocking” type move…taking power of important works and the legacy, and then blocking the children off from accessing it and controlling and managing it. Of course, this is the case if the children are too young to legally take it over at the death of an Author/Composer.
I mention this for a reason, but will not explain here further what I mean, not right now.
Above you see the section generally where an Author signs off these Rights seen above to the Publisher, including certain FUTURE rights that arise from the current works that are content in the agreement.
Michael Jacksons Legacy is being “put on the shelf” a bit, and I have a right to speak up honestly here, because Michael’s work matters to more than only him and myself, and his children and family, but all his Fans worldwide as well and several Generations of People young and older.
Look at the last part, one of the BASIC PURPOSES of COPYRIGHT is to protect the PERSONALITY OF THE ORIGINAL CREATOR/COMPOSER/AUTHOR.
That means, in my personal language, that the personality/soul/being of the original creator is a sacred to be respected thing and it is CENTRAL in how someone creates artistic work such as songs lyrics and melodies.
Here, we have a case of Michael Jackson being to many of his works:

See? It gets here very complex, because see, of course MJJ Productions and his own Music Catalogue had the main basic rights, but in the above hierarchy Michael’s Label was contractually “intertwined” with Sony Music in some ways.
I want you to know, how powerful Michael Jackson was in the Business aspect, the Music Publishing aspects and the money-generating Business, for Sony and in general.
Michael wanted to leave, and take all his stuff with him.
Sony would have gone bankrupt and closed the Music Label.
Michael Jackson was one of the biggest and still is actually one of the biggest “money source in Music” of all times, so don’t underestimate the Opportunists lingering around his stuff now. I was shocked when I saw out of all people, Mottola (Ex-Sony Music Boss) sitting in 2010 on TV, and talking somehow about Michael Jackson’s UNRELEASED SONGS and Music Catalogue. I was shocked and angry, you have no idea.
There is so much manipulation going on…
Michael Jackson was an exceptional Business Man, besides being a talented Artist and he controlled a lot more than only his Performance Art.
He had his own sub-partial Indie Label, MJJ Productions, contractually though linked in parts to Sony Music. He tried to produce and sign other Artists he wanted to produce and promote under his Label back then. He wanted to build it up like Motown Records, originally, and “be like Berry Gordy”, which was one of Michael’s personal Dreams and Visions.
Of course, things did not go well and did not seem to “take off”. But Michael used his Label for many of his initial Productions in the 80s and early 90s, before he founded Kingdom Entertainment with this Prince Al Waleed.
Originally, you would see in the Intro of his in the later 80s produced Movie “MOONWALKER” the original MJJ Productions Logo appearing, after you see Michael’s Feet in shining Dance Shoes stepping slowly into the Spotlight and then doing the “Dance Magic” move to land on his tip toes, his Signature Move and MJJ Productions Logo here specifically.

They know no limits, certain people who are this type of human being, when they try to “compete with you aggressively” and are ice cold and manipulative in their approach to competition. Even unlawful things happen a lot, and I said before that this Guy I had few talks with last year, Qadree El Amin, admitted to me that “Hollywood folks spy each other out and hire hackers/spies for spying on competitors”. I had told him about my situation and he said:”Yep, this is how they work…” and so forth.
Funny, how this exact Guy is now presenting parts of my personal Information I shared with him last year, for and with this Shana Manga-tale for her fake Book. Now I look back and laugh, after having been hurt and angry, and I think “of course he knew all these things!” because he is one of the bad people in Hollywood. How else would you know so precisely about such things, if you have never used it yourself or had regular contacts with such “Hollywood paid hackers/spies”?
Very, very weird people were in Michael’s environment.
Luckily, nobody believes their lies and this recent, insulting fake Book that was released, is a joke, an obvious public elbow hit at Michael and not meant in any good way. It is a typical “Opportunist” type Book and as Michael said before its release, 80% of it fabricated.
THE SHADOW SIDE OF SHOW BUSINESS
This is a subject that we could talk about endlessly, there is so much horrible things in Show Business.
I never liked the idea of “fame and publicity” and how it is handled by society most of the time. I always viewed things differently, also regarding Michael Jackson, and thought: “Hey, leave the Man some space, some privacy! Why are you so interested in these nonsense questions about his personal stuff and not the art that is right in your face, his Music, how he does it and how this artistic miracle happens” and so forth.
I never understood, why people would freak out and lose their minds, when seeing famous people somewhere. Famous people, are also just normal human beings and have human needs for privacy and personal space and breathing and relaxing.
Somehow, I remember especially in California laws, there is NO PROTECTION for famous people’s privacy, and we all know how many Celebrities live in the Los Angeles area, or have a home there for the whole “Hollywood scene access”.
But if, let’s say, Keanu Reeves fiancee dies in a car crash, he had no privacy and the Paparazzi were following him and disturbing his mourning process.
If you are famous and rich, you never know who truly likes you FOR YOU, and who only is after your fame and money. Opportunists linger around his Business everywhere like Spiders, and as you walk, you can accidentally always walk into a “spider net” of some Opportunist and Fraud that tries to take advantage of you.
When it comes to private personal matters, such as romantic relationships, it gets even harder for a Celebrity. To simply find this initial, innocent and equal liking of another Person, that moment most couples have in the beginning, getting to know each other, is not there.
People know you, Women and Men, know you from TV and Newspapers, and there are a ton of people, like Shana Mangatal, or that Tomae I forgot her Name, in Michael’s case, that stalk you and try everything to be associated with you, without any shame.

People that work with you close by, like in your Garden, your Kitchen, your Security and House Cleaning, get into your stuff often and you can never know who to trust, even if you pay them and they work for you in your private space.
There have been tons of people who “sold out to the tabloids” and therefore, backstabbed Michael. Even Debbie Rowe, which was a very good friend and trusted friend Michael had, for decades, could not hold herself back and involved tabloids in her jealousy moves against Lisa Marie Presley. This hurt Michael a lot, because he thought she is a friend and trustworthy, for decades.
I am just stating the facts as Michael told them to me. Of course, I do feel now sorry for her, because she is battling cancer obviously, and that is a very difficult time in her life.
After all, in a longterm view, she did something very noble for Michael by having his Children, for him, not even for herself, but for him so he can have the Children and be a Father the way he always dreamed of.
People cannot imagine, how important this was for Michael. He cared so much about this, he would have died even younger and earlier if he did not have his wonderful Children. They helped Michael to fight for his health and future, to try and fix things and move ahead, for them. They helped Michael to get up each day and feel useful and loved, to wake them up and take care of them, raising them, and teaching them his Wisdoms.
Often, he would also cover their faces, because he worried that some of the “crazy stalkers in the public” he knew well about, would try and kidnap his children and extort money, or similar situations. Michael had situations in his “stage life”, where psychopathic Fans wrote him that they will “shoot him on stage the next performance” and he would still courageously go on stage and rely on security and God’s protection.
People cannot imagine, how much hate and jealousy exists out there, if you are in a certain “public spotlight” and everyone sees you. Good people see you, bad people, criminal people, crazy people, and they all think they know you because you are “famous” and you are no longer treated like a normal human being.
Any person living this way cannot live a healthy, happy life like this.
So, human beings have basic human needs like being happy, having a private moment, having children and a family life, hobbies, doing sports like outdoor stuff with the kids such as camping also. But all this becomes impossible when you are as famous as Michael Jackson, and this is why he built Neverland Ranch, with all the things he loves and needs, but cannot visit outside freely such as going to the Cinema Theatre or buying Candy and Popcorn, or going on rides and carousels.
Michael loved those innocent, relaxing things. Many adults do these things with their children, and nobody looks at them weird. Adults re-live to a certain degree their childhoods when having own children, like, seeing childhood again through their eyes.
Imagine, if your mind, your psyche, your body, can never rest, never find a space to just pull back and relax, how that affects you and your health over time.
This was one of Michael Jackson’s biggest problems, because being the Artist and Person he was, he loved his privacy and rejuvenating activities to “re-energize for his work”. The better you rest in between, the better the work focus is and your delivery in vocals, dance moves and physical strength, and mental focus on details.
And because this was so necessary and important for Michael, his sleep and his Dreams, he tried over time to force himself with medications to sleep more and more, and the more the stress and pressure from defamatory public lies and a personal witch hunt going on, the more he increased his use of medicine to aid his sleep.
Of course, you had there also the more often than not “evil pharma business” reaching in to profit, and Doctors surrounding Michael Jackson constantly offering him this and that to help x and y symptoms, but nobody was doing anything to help the Man feel like a Human Being, a person, respected and the laws upheld. Nobody was seeing the root of the issues, the racism, the violations of his basic Human Rights and all those aspects.
Michael was literally screaming against this injustice and the lies, and they just gave him pills to “shut him up”. Nobody did anything to change or create new laws to BAN the tabloids from misuse of their media and using it for witch hunts on people out of racism and discrimination and such things. Nobody came in and said, “hey, lets investigate this personal aiming at this wonderful and innocent Artist”, or, going after the Hollywood folks who discriminated against him and “planted slander headlines” in tabloids to mess even more with him and his reputation and block and damage like this HIS BUSINESS.
